Cicom Brains provides public notice concerning the matters listed below based on Article 24 (“Public Announcement of Matters Concerning Retained Personal Data”) of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and JISQ15001:2006 3.4.4.3 (“Notification of Matters Concerning Personal Information Subject to Disclosure”).
*However, we do not take into account the “retained personal data” exclusion as defined in Article 2 (“excluding…data which will be erased within a period of no longer than one year (six months) that is specified by a Cabinet Order”) of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and regardless of the number of days the data is retained, we make the following available as “personal information subject to disclosure”(*1).

When collecting personal information provided directly in writing, we will clearly state the purpose of use with the following exceptions:
- Notifying the individual or publishing the purpose of use could put the life, health, property or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party at risk
- Notifying the individual of or publishing the purpose of use could put our rights or fair profits at risk
- It is necessary to cooperate with a government organization or local public body in the execution of their legal duties and notifying the individual of or publishing the purpose of use could hinder the execution of said duties
- The purpose of use is apparent from the situation in which the information is collected
4. Requests for disclosure of personal information
You may use our contact information to request disclosure (notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition and deletion of details, suspension of use or removal of information, and suspension of provision to third parties) of your own personal information. When such requests are received, we will confirm your identity and take action within a reasonable period of time. 5. Authorized personal information protection organization
An authorized personal information protection organization is such as set forth in Article 37 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and whose purpose is to handle complaints concerning handling of applicable personal information and to ensure the proper handling of personal information by providing information to target entities.
We are not currently registered as a target entity with an authorized personal information protection organization.

*1. What is “personal information subject to disclosure”?
Personal information subject to disclosure refers to information systematically arranged for which we have the authority to respond to requests for disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of details, suspension of use or removal of information, or suspension of provision to third parties.
